Ardent is about passions. A long-held passion of mine has been editorial design, especially for niche publications. This self-initiated concept magazine was designed as a means of providing a platform for some of my own photography, acknowledging a strong source of my creative inspiration being topics like the development of the urban landscape in big cities (The Social Life of Cities) and a desire by many creatives to expose themselves more to nature as a means of creative inspiration and renewal (Outside Exposure).
The aesthetic I worked to is a firm nod to one of my greatest personal sources of creative inspiration — the International type style — with a strong modularity which plays on the notion of creativity being a process of constant evolution and re-imagining.
